This bread is soft and delicious and very easy to make. It's great for French toast, garlic bread, Italian choose toast, fancy braided breads, or just eating plain. It's a man-pleaser and sure to be a family favorite.
Mix yeast, warm water, and sugar. Let the yeast bubble.
Add the remaining ingredients adding flour 1 cup at a time.
Knead in your KitchenAid for 10 minutes.
Let rise until double the size.
Punch down and divide into 2 French loaves or 3 regular bread pan loaves. I usually make two loaves and bake on a cookie sheet. You can make bread bowls by making dough balls the size of your choice.
Let rise again in a warm place until double the size, about 30 minutes.
Bale for 20 to 30 minutes at 400*. Shorter for soft crust and longer for thick and chewy crust.
