About Us

What-so-ever-ish is based on a scripture found in Philippians: Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Whatsoever things are lovely … think on these things.  That’s what we’re all about!

About us: Buffy
Buffy is a talented design consultant who loves bringing nature indoors

We’re two sisters and Dad who live 2706 miles away from each other (that’s 41 driving hours but a quick 5-hour flight!). The miles don’t stop us from being best friends, vacation buddies, sharing our love for creating a beautiful living environment, and nourishing family relationships.

Buffy lives in our hometown of Wenatchee, Washington. She’s a much sought-after and talented design consultant helping families all over the Pacific Northwest create the look and feel they want in their homes through paint, fabric, and furniture. Her special niche is showing clients how to display art and treasures they’ve gathered throughout the years. Buffy lives, breathes and dreams of decorating especially creative ways to bring nature indoors. She loves updating her 80-old-home; wandering her yard lush with fruit, vegetable, and herb gardens; foraging for unique decorating pieces at flea markets, thrift, and other people’s basements; and spending time with friends and family. Let’s not forget her love for Lulu, her beautiful but somewhat independent cat.

Patti and Bennett (he’s a 2-year-old Golden Doodle) wandering through a forest in North Carolina

Patti has lived in Huntersville, North Carolina, for over 20 years but still feels Wenatchee is her “hometown”. She’s a born organizer and has found her place in the community and workforce coordinating events large and small and teaching people how to organize and simplify their lives and homes. She believes each home has a “spirit” and you can’t have peace of mind or family harmony in a disorganized, cluttered house. Her passions include social media, graphic design, gardening, community service, crafting and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Patti and her husband, Brand, are wondering wanderers who have traveled much of the world and are always planning their next big adventure. On any weekend you can find them wandering through small towns in North Carolina looking for historical sites, waterfalls, and old general stores. She spends a big part of her day bouncing ideas off her Golden Doodle, Bennett.

about us dad
Dad hiking through the Cascade foothills just miles from his home

Most daughters consider Dad to be just ole Dad but we think of Dad as our creative mentor and source of information. He’s the baker in the family and since retiring has started processing all kinds of food in a variety of ways: smoking, drying, freezing, and canning.  In his professional life, he was a contractor building 100s of houses in the Wenatchee Valley. He’s a photographer, gardener, wanderer, health nut, walker, and Mariners fan. He summers in Wenatchee and winters in Yuma. He’s known for his flowers, pickled asparagus, and hand-pies.  He’s the source of inspiration for many of our blogs.

So whether you live on the West Coast or the East Coast or somewhere in between, kick off your shoes, wander through the backyard, sit on the back porch, and nourish your body and soul with Dad’s rolls and strawberry jam and great conversation. That’s what our blog is all about: being best friends, sharing vacation plans, collaborating on our next project and rejoicing in unique and beautiful creations.  We hope you join us as we rejoice in whatsoever things
