Buffy’s Dining Room
Extending the kitchen remodel into the dining room was a natural choice. The first step was to remove the wall between the two rooms, giving the area the illusion of more space. Display and storage cabinets were added to the wall opposite the kitchen to make the two rooms flow, creating functional space. Buffy’s collection of antique dishes is showcased behind the glass doors, while kitchen appliances hide behind lower doors. The reclaimed wood table serves as an eating spot and an area to prep fruits and veggies for canning. The light overlooking the table disappears, allowing an unobstructed backyard view. Please see the “Before, During, and After” photos for an idea of the magnitude of the main floor renovation.
