No Lists, No Chores

I have 3 days off in a row. Just finished my busy time at work for the season working long days and into the evening. A lot of design work going on. Everyone’s getting ready for Christmas. Orders have been placed and just waiting for furniture to arrive. I’ll be very busy again towards Christmas when trucks of furniture are delivered and customers need help put rooms together for the holidays!

But today I decided to take the day for me. No lists, no chores. I am pretending I am on vacation. First up blintzes for breakfast followed by thrifting. I want to visit a local YWCA thrift store. I have had good success there in the past.

A couple of months ago I got a text from my niece’s husband, Mark and he said: “Is this what you collect?” Dang! Ran right down there and score!

Also, the ladies said Christmas was coming out on Saturday so I will be visiting after my blintzes. What a day I have planned. I’ll look for a nice winter coat and check out their Christmas room. Also, need buttons and fabrics and misc to decorate my canned goods for my guys at work. We will see. Also looking for glass jars for paperwhites. Learn how to grow paperwhites this winter.

I did find some wooden chargers from India!  Thanksgiving chargers maybe?

While thrifting I found 12 wooden chargers from Italy that will make the perfect Thanksgiving chargers!

Then I may take a nap with a fire a book and my kitty.

Lastly, I want to start pulling out my Christmas collections and looking to see what needs to be done without making too much of a mess for Thanksgiving. Join me!

Later in the day …

So no good winter coats and no good fabric but I did find some real vintage angel hair. Spun glass so gotta wear gloves. A little vintage angel candle. Some adorable woodland vintage holly ornaments.

Last but not least DIAMOND DUST. This is what florists use to make an everyday poinsettia sell for big bucks. I use some spray glue and throw some diamond dust on it with some branches and a bow and you have an amazing gift for a coworker. Diamond dust is just so shiny! Shiny. My favorite color!

Taking a nap then going to look into my storage/studio for my Christmas decor and see what inspires me this year!
